The Happys — Trailer

added: Mon, Feb 26th '18

A young woman tries to make it in Hollywood after moving into one of the city's most eccentric neighborhoods in the trailer for "The Happys."

Starring Amanda Bauer (from "The Myth of the American Sleepover " and the web series "The Common Room"), the indie comedy is set in Los Feliz, a hipster-infested, trendy enclave of Los Angeles, and centers on a 21-year-old L.A. transplant from the Midwest who is struggling to find her place among the quirky L.A. locals.

The cast of the offbeat film also includes comedienne Janeane Garofalo, The Walking Dead's Melissa McBride, Ride Along 2's Arturo del Puerto, The Foster's Jack DePew, and iZombie's Rhys Ward.

Written and directed by first-time feature filmmakers Tom Gould and John Serpe, "The Happys" will open theatrically in Los Angeles on March 16th.

Twenty-one year old Tracy thinks she has it all -- great boyfriend, new city and a bright future, but then she walks in on her boyfriend Mark having sex with a man! As their relationship deteriorates, Tracy's world opens up when she befriends the quirky residents in her Los Feliz neighborhood: Sebastian, a troubled recluse; Luann, a true free spirit; Krista, Mark's hard-charging talent manager; Jonathan, a gay magazine reporter; and Ricky, a hot Mexican with a failing food truck. As Tracy discovers her sense of self and true passion for cooking, she is a catalyst that forces them all to grow and connect in unforeseen ways.
