Jared Leto (Suicide Squad, Blade Runner 2049) declares his allegiance to the yakuza in the new Netflix thriller "The Outsider."

Set in post-WWII Japan, Leto plays an ex-American soldier who gives up everything to become the latest and loyal member of a notorious Japanese crime syndicate.

Also starring notable Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano (Silence, Thor, Ichi the Killer) as Leto's fellow yakuza member, the film is directed by Danish filmmaker Martin Zandvliet, who is the writer-director of the 2016 Oscar-nominated Foreign WWII drama "Land of Mine."

Co-starring Rory Cochrane (Black Mass, Hostiles) and Shiori Kutsuna (Deadpool 2) with appearances by Nao Omori, Min Tanaka, Kippei Shiina, and Emile Hirsch, "The Outsider" is set to debut on March 9th on Netflix. Watch the trailer, above.
