A young boy's imagination opens up when he gets his hands on a special guidebook in the newly-released trailer for Amazon's heartwarming coming-of-age series "The Dangerous Book for Boys," which is co-created by Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston and filmmaker Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland).

Inspired by the best-selling fictional how-to book of the same name by British writers Conn and Hal Iggulden, the six-episode series stars Erinn Hayes (Kevin Can Wait, Childrens Hospital) as Beth, a widowed mother of three young, rambunctious boys (played by Gabriel Bateman, Drew Logan Powell, and Kyan Zielinski).

After noticing her sons are completely distracted by video games and computer tablets, Beth decides to sit them down and give them a special kind of gift. It's a hand-made book that was crafted together by their father before he died. Loaded with fun facts and cool instructional guides, the book helps the boys get in touch with their imagination. The youngest child especially takes a liking to it and is soon transported into a fantasy world where he can once again communicate with his late dad (played by character comic actor Chris Diamantopoulos, of "Silicon Valley" and "Good Girls Revolt").

Produced by Jill Footlick (The OA), and executive produced by Mottola (who also directs the first two episodes) and Cranston alongside James Degus (Sneaky Pete, Philip K. Dick's Electric Dreams) and Michael Glouberman (Malcolm in the Middle), the Amazon dramedy also co-stars Swoosie Kurtz (Mike & Molly, Huff) as the children's grandmother.

"The Dangerous Book for Boys" is set to debut on March 30th.
