English actress Carey Mulligan, who recently co-starred in the Oscar nominated Netflix drama "Mudbound," will be returning to the streaming company next month with the four-episode British murder-mystery thriller "Collateral."

Already airing in the U.K., "Collateral" is a four-part mini-series that's set over the course of four days, and follows a hard-charging London detective (Mulligan) as she investigates the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man, which turns out to be a racially and politically charged case that spirals into something far more complicated than originally perceived.

Written and created by acclaimed English playwright/screenwriter David Hare (The Hours, The Reader) and directed by British television helmer S.J. Clarkson, whose credits include "Jessica Jones," "The Defenders," and "Life on Mars," the series co-stars John Simm, Ben Miles, Nicola Walker, Billie Piper, and Nathaniel Martello-White.

"Collateral" will be making its US debut on March 9th via Netflix. In the meantime, you can check out the newly-released U.S. trailer, above.

synopsis:
Set over the course of four days in London, Collateral explores the spiraling repercussions surrounding the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery man.
