The Last Movie Star — Trailer

'70s Hollywood icon Burt Reynolds plays an aging film legend in the newly-released trailer for the bittersweet dramedy "The Last Movie Star," which also stars Modern Family's Ariel Winter, Hot Tub Time Machine's Clark Duke, and Boyhood's Ellar Coltrane.

When former stuntman-turned-film star Vic Edwards (Reynolds) has agreed to accept a lifetime achievement award in person, he's shocked to find out the film festival is being held in a rat hole. To make matters worse, the event is hosted by a bunch of pasty-faced film geeks.

Written and directed by indie filmmaker Adam Rifkin (Detroit Rock City), "The Last Movie Star" premiered last year at the Tribeca Film Festival, under its former title "Dog Years."

The movie, which also features an appearance by Chevy Chase, is due to hit theaters on March 30th and will also be available soon on DirecTV.

Vic Edwards (Burt Reynolds) was the biggest star in Hollywood, a college football legend turned stunt double turned leading man. Now, in his eighties, he’s convinced by an old friend (Chevy Chase) to accept an invitation to receive a Lifetime Achievement award at a two-bit film festival in Nashville. The trip launches him on both a hilarious fish-out-of-water adventure and an unexpectedly poignant journey into his past.
