Cobra Kai — Teaser Trailer

It looks as if Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence still have an axe to grind, and I don't think anyone's gonna fall for the ol' Crane Kick either. Check out the first teaser trailer for the upcoming limited web series "Cobra Kai," based on the 80's classic film "The Karate Kid," which reunites Ralph Macchio and William Zabka as their bitter rivals thirty years later.

The YouTube Red series is being written and created by Josh Heald (writer of Hot Tub Time Machine), Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg (Harold & Kumar 2), and will pick up thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament where Daniel won his title, as the best around and nothing's gonna ever keep him down. While LaRusso (Macchio) is living the dream, a down-and-out Johnny (Zabka) once again tries to relive his life by bringing back the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo.

The half-hour online series is currently being prepped to begin streaming on YouTube Red later on in the year.

Thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament, a down-and-out Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) seeks redemption by reopening the infamous Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting his rivalry with a now successful Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), who has been struggling to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.
