A two-bit burglar gets more than he bargained for when he temporarily steals a car and breaks into the house of a sadistic kidnapper in the trailer for "Bad Samaritan," a new twisty crime thriller that stars Scottish actor David Tennant, of "Doctor Who" and "Jessica Jones" fame.

Directed by Hollywood producer-turned-film director Dean Devlin (Geostorm, TV's Leverage) and produced under his new production company Electric Entertainment, the film is a suspense thriller about a shady car valet (played by Irish actor Robert Sheehan, from the upcoming "Mortal Engines") at a high-end restaurant who secretly breaks into the houses of rich patrons and steals their belongings while they eat. However, when the amateur burglar unknowingly takes off in the car belonging to a monstrous criminal (played by Tennant), he's shocked to discover a woman is being held captive inside the abductor's house. Now he feels responsible for the safety of the mysterious girl, and does what he can to see her freed and rescued.

Co-starring Kerry Condon, Carlito Olivero, and Jacqueline Byers and written by Brandon Boyce (Wicker Park, Apt Pupil), "Bad Samaritan" is scheduled to open in select theaters on March 30th.

BAD SAMARITAN is a terrifying cautionary tale of two thieves uncovering more than what they bargained for when breaking into a house they thought would be an easy score. After making a shocking discovery, they must choose to run and hide, or face the killer whose dark secrets they have exposed.
