To honor the anniversary of a friend's death, four best friends agree to reunite for a hiking trip. But when they are unexpectedly forced to change the course of their backpacking excursion and cut through a dreadful Scandinavian forest, the guys quickly regret not going to Las Vegas instead.

Check out the trailer for "The Ritual," Netflix's new hiking-trip-gone-wrong horror thriller that stars Rafe Spall (Prometheus), Robert James-Collier (Downton Abbey), Arsher Ali (Four Lions), and Sam Troughton (BBC's Robin Hood) as four British mates who find themselves losing their grip on reality while trekking through the woods, which turns out to be a place where nightmares come true.

The film marks the solo directorial debut of horror filmmaker David Bruckner, who, along with his former directing partners Jacob Gentry and Dan Bush, is known for creating the cult sci-fi horror "The Signal" and the cult horror anthology "Southbound."

Written by Joe Barton (TV's Humans) and based on Adam Nevill's supernatural horror novel of the same name, "The Ritual" will be released on Netflix beginning February 9th.
