Nicolas Cage gives in to his voyeuristic impulses and becomes a murder suspect in the trailer for the motel-set mystery crime thriller "Looking Glass."

The 54-year-old Oscar-winner continues to attach himself to more off-kilter film projects as he stars in this new genre-twister as a retired electrician who has decided with his wife (played by Robin Tunney) to buy and manage an old desert motel. But upon further inspection through the motel's basement, he discovers the previous owner had installed a two-way mirror in one of the rooms, allowing him to creepily spy on his guest without them knowing it.

So, when a sultry blonde woman checks into the infamous "room ten," Cage's mild-mannered motel owner cannot resist to run down to the basement and take a peek through the looking glass. What he sees is her engaging in a sexual tryst with another woman. But, what he didn't expect is her getting killed later that night by a mysterious masked intruder. Fast forward a bit, and now the cops are looking at him as a possible suspect in the murder.

Co-starring Marc Blucas as the local sheriff, "Looking Glass" comes from veteran TV director Tim Hunter (Riverdale, Hannibal, Mad Men), who is also known for directing the cult '80s mystery thriller "River's Edge" and the '80s S.E. Hinton adaptation "Tex."

"Looking Glass" arrives in select theaters and VOD on February 16th.
