Judy Greer (Ant-Man, Jurassic World) takes the concept of helicopter parenting to a whole new level in the trailer for the coming-of-age teen comedy "Adventures in Public School."

Co-written and directed by Canadian actor-turned-filmmaker Kyle Rideout (Eadweard), the movie centers on a socially awkward teenager (played by newcomer Daniel Doheny) who has decided to attend his local public high school after spending his whole life being home-schooled by his overly-involved mother (Greer).

The Canadian comedy (formerly titled "Public Schooled") premiered to mostly positive reviews at last year's Toronto International Film Festival, and it also co-stars Grace Park (Battlestar Galactica, Hawaii Five-0), Siobhan Williams (Hell on Wheels), Andrew McNee (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), and comedian Russell Peters.

"Adventures in Public School" will be released later in the year.

synopsis:
When socially awkward, home-schooled kid Liam spots one-legged beauty Anastasia at the local school, he's instantly hooked. Determined to find a way of getting closer to her, and fed up with his sheltered existence, Liam persuades the principle and his mom, Claire (Judy Greer), to give him a chance to try out high school life for himself.

As her beloved son navigates a new and unfamiliar world of sex, drugs and social studies, and struggles to impress a girl who doesn’t even know he exists, his mom/best friend decides it’s time to teach him the ropes of teenage rebellion.
