Just a day ahead of its premiere, FX has released the final trailer for "The Assassination of Gianni Versace," the new true-crime limited series from Emmy-winning executive producers Ryan Murphy, Brad Simpson, and Nina Jacobson.

Based on Maureen Orth's best-selling investigative book "Vulgar Favors: Andrew Cunanan, Gianni Versace, and the Largest Failed Manhunt in U. S. History," the 10-part miniseries is the second installment of the "American Crime Story" anthology series, which began with the Emmy-winning drama "The People v. O. J. Simpson."

This second season is dramatizing the shocking 1997 murder case of legendary Italian fashion designer Gianni Versace (played by Edgar Ramirez) who was shot down on the steps of his Miami Beach mansion by Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss), a demented charlatan who went on a three-month killing spree, killing a number of high-profile gay men.

In her first television role, Oscar-winner Penelope Cruz co-stars as Gianni's sister and business partner, Donatella Versace while singer-actor Ricky Martin portrays Gianni's long-term boyfriend, Italian model Antonio D'Amico.

Written by acclaimed screenwriter/novelist Tom Rob Smith (Child 44, London Spy), "The Assassination of Gianni Versace," is premiering tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17 on FX.
