Nick Robinson (Jurassic World, The Kings of Summer) plays a seventeen-year-old kid, named Simon, who is like any other typical teenager -- except, he has "one huge-ass secret." He's gay and has yet to come out to his friends and family.

Check out the new official trailer for "Love, Simon," a coming-out, coming-of-age dramedy about an ordinary teenage kid who loves his family and loves hanging out with his friends, but who is secretly tormented by anxiety and fear that no one will understand or fully accept that he is gay.

Based on the best-selling young adult novel "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" by Becky Albertalli, the film also stars Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Keiynan Lonsdale (CW's The Flash), and Jorge Lendeborg (Brigsby Bear), with Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel as the parents.

Television producer/filmmaker Greg Berlanti (creator of the drama series "Everwood" and co-creator of The CW's "Arrowverse" superhero shows) is directing the film, which was adapted for the screen by "This Is Us" writers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

"Love, Simon" arrives in theaters on March 16th.

synopsis:
Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it's a little more complicated: he’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.

Based on Becky Albertalli's acclaimed novel, LOVE, SIMON is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love.
