Paramount Network (formerly known as Spike TV) has released the first trailer for "I Am MLK Jr.", the upcoming two-hour documentary chronicling the life and legacy of legendary civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Featuring interviews with political analyst Van Jones, Rev. Al Sharpton, comedian/actor Nick Cannon, basketball superstar Carmelo Anthony, Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins and many more, the documentary is the latest installment in the cable network's critically-acclaimed "I Am" series, which hails from documentarian Derik Murray (I Am Heath Ledger, I Am Chris Farley, I Am Bruce Lee).

Focusing on five significant events in Dr. King's life (The Montgomery Bus Boycott, The Birmingham Campaign, March on Washington, the Selma Movement, and his assassination on April 4, 1968), "I Am MLK Jr." will premiere in April on the Paramount Network, which will mark the 50th anniversary of his death.
