Check out the trailer for "This Close," a new original scripted streaming series, which is created by and starring deaf actors Shoshannah Stern (Supernatural, Weeds, Jericho) and Josh Feldman as two hearing-impaired best friends/roommates whose relationship is tested when one suddenly gets engaged with her non-deaf boyfriend and the other is trying to move on from his ex-fiance.

Based on a series of web shorts that was developed through the Sundance Institute and was made for its new subscription-based streaming service, Sundance Now, the half-hour dramedy series is one of the first American shows to ever explore the deaf community with an honest approach.

Featuring an impressive supporting cast that includes the likes of Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin (Children of A Lesser God), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights), Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Colt Prattes (TV's Dirty Dancing), the show will run for six episodes.

Directed and executive produced by acclaimed indie filmmaker Andrew Ahn (Spa Night), "This Close" is scheduled to start streaming on February 14th exclusively on Sundance Now.
