The end of days is near. And Jim Sturgess (Geostorm, Cloud Atlas) and Agyness Deyn (The White King, Sunset Song) are among the first to discover the shocking truth in Hulu's latest British import "Hard Sun," a new detective thriller series from Neil Cross, the creator of the critically acclaimed Idris Elba-starring cop drama "Luther."
Set in contemporary England, the show stars Sturgess and Deyn as two mismatched detectives in London. When they accidentally stumble on a stolen disk drive, they find themselves in the possession of top-secret scientific documents that reveal the existence of an extinction level event, which will likely destroy Earth within five years. They also soon discover that there's a heavy, heavy price to be paid for knowing this type of information.
Slated for six episodes, "Hard Sun" also stars Nikki Amuka-Bird (Jupiter Ascending), Derek Riddell (Gunpowder), and Richard Coyle (The Collection).
Written by Cross, the show's six episodes have been divided up among three directors: Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful), Nick Rowland (Ripper Street), and Richard Senior (Doctor Who, Night and the Doctor).
"Hard Sun" is currently airing in the U.K. but will make its US debut on March 7th through Hulu.
