Zoey Deutch tries to lure Adam Scott into a badly-planned trap in the new trailer for the darkly comic teen vigilante film "Flower."

Deutch, who you might have seen in the time-looping teen drama "Before I Fall" or in the Bryan Cranston-James Franco comedy "Why Him?", plays a rebellious 17-year-old high schooler who enlists the help of her friends (Dylan Gelula, Maya Eshet) to exact vengeance when she learns her clinically depressed step-brother (Joey Morgan) was possibly molested by one of his high-school teachers (played by Scott).

"Flower" is directed by Max Winkler (son of actor Henry Winkler) whose directing credits include the indie comedy "Ceremony" and episodes of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" and "New Girl" and also stars Kathryn Hahn and Tim Heidecker as Deutch's mother and step-dad with Eric Edelstein as an unscrupulous cop.

Based on an unproduced screenplay by YA novelist Alex McAulay, which was re-written by Winkler and filmmaker Matt Spicer (Ingrid Goes West), "Flower" is due to open in select theaters March 16th.

synopsis:
Rebellious, quick-witted Erica Vandross (Zoey Deutch) is a 17-year-old firecracker living with her single mom Laurie (Kathryn Hahn) and mom's new boyfriend Bob (Tim Heidecker) in suburban Los Angeles. When Bob's mentally unbalanced son Luke (Joey Morgan) arrives from rehab to live with the family, Erica finds her domestic and personal life overwhelmed. With Luke and her sidekicks Kala (Dylan Gelula) and Claudine (Maya Eshet) in tow, Erica acts out by exposing the kinky secrets of sexy high-school teacher Will (Adam Scott), with perilous results; their teenage kicks become a catalyst for growing up in unexpected and unpredictable ways.
