After making three "Hatchet" films, cult horror filmmaker Adam Green has come up with a rather interesting way to reboot his popular torture-slasher franchise -- to make it into a campy splatter comedy!

Check out the trailer for "Victor Crowley," Green's new horror movie, which is the fourth film in the "Hatchet" series, but the first to be a straight-up comedy.

Actor Parry Shen (who has appeared in all three "Hatchet" films but never the same character) returns, this time playing Andrew Yong, the only known survivor of the legendary swamp killer, known as "Victor Crowley."

During a book tour, Andrew, who has written about his traumatic experience in a new controversial bestseller, is offered money to participate in a new documentary special, which is to be filmed at the infamous Louisiana swamps, the scene of the murders. Andrew reluctantly agrees to do the interview. But he soon regrets it when he and the documentary crew miraculously survive a plane crash, only to later find themselves being hunted down by the grotesquely deformed serial killer.

Co-starring Laura Ortiz (The Hills Have Eyes Remake), Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie), Chase Williamson (John Dies at the End), Brian Quinn (TV's Impractical Jokers) and comedian Jonah Ray (Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return) with famed stuntman and horror icon Kane Hodder back as Victor Crowley, the film is getting a VOD and Blu-ray release on February 6th.

synopsis:
In 2007, over 40 people were brutally torn to pieces in Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp. Over the past decade, lone survivor Andrew Yong’s claims that local legend Victor Crowley was responsible for the horrific massacre have been met with great controversy, but when a twist of fate puts him back at the scene of the tragedy, Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and Yong must face the bloodthirsty ghost from his past.
