They took his wife. Now Bruce Willis wants them to pay. The question is, how far is he willing to go to settle the score?

Check out the former "Die Hard" action star as he goes out on a brutal vigilante spree in the new trailer for the upcoming modern-day "Death Wish" remake, which is directed by horror-meister Eli Roth (Hostel, Knock Knock).

Willis steps into the role of family man-turned-vigilante Paul Kersey, who was originally and famously played by aging action star Charles Bronson in the 1970s and '80s action thriller franchise.

This time around, the film, which again is based on Brian Garfield's 1972 novel, takes place in Chicago, instead of New York City, and will offer a viral video twist to the story as the Paul Kersey character becomes a local vigilante hero when his story suddenly goes viral.

Co-starring Vincent D'Onofrio, Camila Morrone, Dean Norris, Kimberly Elise, and Mike Epps with Elisabeth Shue as Willis's slain wife, "Death Wish" is now scheduled to hit theaters on March 2nd.

synopsis:
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures presents director Eli Roth's reimagining of the classic 1974 revenge thriller DEATH WISH. Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of Chicago violence when it is rushed into his ER -- until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts his family's assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media's attention, the city wonders if this deadly vigilante is a guardian angel or a grim reaper. Fury and fate collide in the intense, action-thriller DEATH WISH.
