Slender Man — Trailer

added: Wed, Jan 3rd '18

For the uninitiated, the Slender Man is basically the internet-age version of the bogeyman -- a faceless figure that gives young children nightmares. Of course, like all popular supernatural characters these days, it's getting the big-screen treatment.

Check out the very first trailer for the upcoming supernatural horror thriller, which is based on the user-created bogeyman-like character that began as a 2009 "creepypasta" meme and has since blown up to become a global internet phenomenon, which has tragically inspired real-life horrors.

Directed by Sylvain White (The Losers, Stomp the Yard), the film stars Julia Goldani-Telles (Showtime's The Affair), Joey King (The Conjuring), Jaz Sinclair (When the Bough Breaks), and Annalise Basso (Captain Fantastic) as a couple of young high school students whose lives are utterly ruined when they find themselves being hunted down by the elusive urban legend.

Co-starring Javier Botet and featuring an original score by "Game of Thrones" composer Ramin Djawadi and GOT technical score advisor Brandon Campbell, "Slender Man" is slated for a May 18th theatrical release.

Slender Man is a tall, thin, horrific figure with preternaturally long arms and a featureless face. He is thought to be responsible for the haunting, stalking, and disappearance of countless victims...
