The Open House — Trailer

Dylan Minnette, star of the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" and the hit suspense thriller "Don't Breathe," is again working for the streaming company, starring in yet another home-invasion horror movie "The Open House," which is set to be released next month.

This time, Minnette finds himself playing a grief-stricken teenager who, after moving into a strange small-town community with his mother (played by Piercey Dalton), realizes a mysterious predator is living in their new home, possibly hiding inside their boarded-up basement. Could it just be "kids trying to scare the newcomers"? Ah, something tells us that won't be the case.

Written and directed by first-time filmmakers Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote, "The Open House" also co-stars Patricia Bethune (True Blood) and Sharif Atkins (ER, White Collar) with Angel (who is also an established television actor) appearing as the local cop.

The Netflix horror thriller is currently scheduled to start streaming on Friday, January 19th. Watch the newly-released trailer, above.

Following a tragedy, a mother and her teen son move to a relative's vacant vacation home, where eerie and unexplained forces conspire against them.
