Mom and Dad — Trailer

Nicolas Cage delivers yet another bat-crazy performance, playing a sledgehammer-swinging family man who inexplicably wants to murder his own children in the trailer for the darkly satirical horror thriller "Mom and Dad," which is written and directed by action helmer Brian Taylor, of the "Crank" films and "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance."

The upcoming thriller, in which Cage is starring opposite Hellboy's Selma Blair as the titular parents, takes place in an otherwise peaceful suburban neighborhood where an outbreak of violence has suddenly occurred early in the morning just as school is about to start. It seems a mysterious fit of madness is turning every parent in town into homicidal maniacs. And Cage and Blair's children are about to find out their "mom and dad" aren't exactly the same loving and protective people they once were.

Also featuring Anne Winters (who also will star in the upcoming second season of the hit Netflix series "13 Reasons Why") as Cage and Blair's teenage daughter who finds herself trapped inside her home as she tries to hide and protect her kid brother (Zackary Arthur), "Mom and Dad," which made a strong impression back in September at both TIFF's Midnight Madness and Fantastic Fest, is getting a theatrical, VOD and Digital HD release next month, beginning January 19th.

For 24 hours, parents all over the world wreak violent havoc on their children, and a teenage girl and her little brother must fight for their survival while escaping the unrestrained wrath of their own mother and father.
