Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) returns for the third season of Hulu's hit drama series "The Path," which explores the inner workings of a fictional New Age cult called Meyerist.

Paul plays a devoted family man and husband, who began the show as someone who was seriously thinking of leaving the controversial religion, even at the risk of being shunned by his wife (played by True Detective's Michelle Monaghan) and children (Kyle Allen, Aimee Laurence). Now it seems Paul's character has been chosen as the cult's new leader, just as high-level members of the 'Meyerist' movement are trying to improve their public image.

Also starring Hugh Dancy (NBC's Hannibal) as the cult's disgruntled former leader and Emma Greenwell (Shameless) as a devoted follower, the Jessica Goldberg-created series is adding Homeland's Sarita Choudhury and Slumdog Millionaire's Freida Pinto to the cast.

"The Path: Season 3" premieres next month on Thursday, January 17th on Hulu. Watch the official trailer, above.
