It's a detective drama with an end-of-the-world twist!
Check out the trailer for "Hard Sun," a new British television thriller that comes from Neil Cross, the critically acclaimed creator of the Idris Elba-starring cop series "Luther."
The six-part drama stars Jim Sturgess (Geostorm, Cloud Atlas) and Agyness Deyn (The White King, Sunset Song) as two London detectives who accidentally stumble on a stolen disk drive containing top secret information concerning an impending "extinction level event."
Co-starring Nikki Amuka-Bird (Jupiter Ascending), Derek Riddell (Gunpowder), and Richard Coyle (The Collection), the series will have episodes directed by Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Penny Dreadful), Nick Rowland (Ripper Street), and Richard Senior (Doctor Who, Night and the Doctor).
"Hard Sun" is scheduled to premiere in the U.K. on BBC One beginning January 6th. It will also be released in the U.S. on March 7th through the streaming service Hulu.
