Hulu has unveiled an official first-look trailer for their latest original series "The Looming Tower," a 10-part dramatic thriller that takes an unflinching look at the events that led to the September 11 terrorist attacks.

Jeff Daniels stars in the series, portraying John O'Neill, a real-life FBI supervisor who worked in the counterterrorism department in New York during the late 1990s and who also was deeply concerned about Osama bin Laden before the 2001 attacks. But he wasn't able to cut through the red tape when raising his concerns to the CIA.

Peter Sarsgaard, Tahara Rahim, Michael Stuhlbarg, Wrenn Schmidt, Bill Camp, Virginia Kull, and Alec Baldwin co-star in the limited series, which is based on Lawrence Wright's Pulitzer Prize-winning 2006 investigative book.

Dan Futterman, the actor-turned-writer who wrote the Oscar-nominated screenplays for "Capote" and "Foxcatcher," is executive producing "The Looming Tower," which will be premiering on February 28th exclusively on Hulu.

synopsis:
The Looming Tower: Based on the Pulitzer-Prize winning book, The Looming Tower traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11. The series follows members of the I-49 Squad in New York and Alec Station in Washington, D.C., the counter-terrorism divisions of the FBI and CIA, respectively, as they travel the world fighting for ownership of information while seemingly working toward the same goal - trying to prevent an imminent attack on U.S. soil.
