Benicio del Toro and Josh Brolin are out to "start a war with everyone" in the first official trailer for "Sicario: Day of the Soldado," a sequel to 2015's critically acclaimed drug-cartel thriller.

Del Toro and Brolin are reprising their roles as ex-narco hitman-turned-DEA assassin Alejandro Gillick and shadowy black-ops federal agent Matt Graver. Together, they make a dangerous, if not lethal, team. Especially now that the U.S. government has declared war on the Mexican drug cartels, and are also "turning [Del Toro's character] loose." So, "Adios" drug-lords!

Taylor Sheridan, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter who wrote the Denis Villeneuve-directed original, also wrote "Soldado" (which is Spanish for 'Soldier').

The directing reins for the sequel have been handed over to Italian director Stefano Sollima, whose credits include the acclaimed Italian crime thrillers "Suburra," "ACAB: All Cops Are Bastards," and the "Gomorrah" TV series.

"Sicario: Day of the Soldado" co-stars Jeffrey Donovan, Catherine Keener, and Matthew Modine and it's currently slated for a June 2018 theatrical release.
