On the last day of his life, Ethan Hawke is spending his final hours exacting violent revenge on those who double-crossed him in the new international trailer for the action thriller "24 Hours to Live," which hails from the producers of "John Wick."

Hawke, who was last seen as Rihanna's space pimp in Luc Besson's sci-fi fantasy epic "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets," takes another detour from starring in small arthouse pictures to play a military-trained hitman who is shot in the chest after a botched job, only to wake up from surgery and discover his double-crossing employers have implanted a lethal countdown clock in his forearm in this leave-your-brain-at-the-door action romp.

Directed by stunt coordinator-turned-filmmaker Brian Smrz, and co-starring "Game of Thrones" actor Liam Cunningham and Blade Runner's Rutger Hauer, "24 Hours to Live" is currently available right now on iTunes and other VOD platforms.

synopsis:
A hitman (Ethan Hawke) is brought back to life for 24 hours by an experimental procedure. He will have one day to exact revenge against the powerful crime syndicate responsible for the murder of his wife and child and find redemption for his sins.
