Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the eagerly anticipated second season of Marvel's "Jessica Jones," starring Krysten Ritter as the titular hard-drinking private eye with superhuman abilities.

The Melissa Rosenberg-created series, which is based on the Marvel comic book by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Gaydos, will find Jessica "getting back to unfinished business," returning to Hell's Kitchen, and reuniting with her best and closest (and only) friend, Trish Walker (played by Rachael Taylor).

Season Two of "Jessica Jones" will follow the events of this year's crossover miniseries "The Defenders," in which Jessica had reluctantly joined forces with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist to fight off the Hand.

Two-time Oscar nominee Janet McTeer (Albert Nobbs), J.R. Ramirez (Starz's Power) and Leah Gibson (Hulu's Shut Eye) have joined the cast, while David Tennant is expected to return as the mind-controlling villain Kilgrave, who, we, presume is dead but may possibly still exist in Jessica's mind.

"Jessica Jones: Season 2" is slated to premiere March 8th on Netflix.

synopsis:
New York City private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave. Now known throughout the city as a super-powered killer, a new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is while digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.
