Filmmaker George A. Romero's classic zombie film has yet again been turned into a modern-day reboot. This time, however, it's Romero's third entry in his beloved zombie franchise that's getting the "reimagining" treatment.

Check out the newly released red band trailer for "Day of the Dead: Bloodline," which is directed by Spanish horror filmmaker Hector Hernandez Vicens (The Corpse of Anna Fritz) and stars British actress Sophie Skelton (from Starz's Outlander) as a young medical researcher who, while working in an underground military bunker, is trying to find a cure to end the zombie apocalypse.

"That Thing You Do" star Johnathon Schaech (who can sometimes be seen as Jonah Hex in the CW superhero series "Legends of Tomorrow") also stars as a chained-up zombie who is being experimented on.

Co-starring Jeff Gum, Marcus Vanco, Mark Rhino Smith, and Shari Watson, "Day of the Dead: Bloodline" will hit theaters and VOD on January 5th.
