Oscar-winners Holly Hunter and Tim Robbins play the idealistic parents of a multiracial, adopted family in the first teaser trailer for "Here And Now," the newest HBO drama series from Oscar-and-Emmy-winning creator Alan Ball (Six Feet Under, True Blood, American Beauty).

Set in Portland, Oregon, the ten-episode drama takes a penetrating look inside a contemporary American family, exploring the intricate dynamics between four multiracial siblings, three of which are adopted (from Somalia, Vietnam, and Colombia) and one biological.

Hunter plays a therapist-turned-corporate lawyer. Robbins is a philosophy professor, while their grown-up adoptive children are played by Daniel Zovatto (Don't Breathe), Raymond Lee (Amazon's Mozart in the Jungle), and Jerrika Hinton (TV's Grey's Anatomy). Newcomer Sosie Bacon (daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick) also stars as Robbins and Hunter's biological kid; she's a wild child with possible mental issues.

Ball directs the pilot episode of the HBO series, which is set to premiere sometime in February 2018.

synopsis:
The HBO drama focuses on a contemporary multiracial family: a philosophy professor; his lawyer wife; their three adopted children from Somalia, Vietnam, and Colombia; and their sole biological child. This seemingly perfect, progressive family is harboring deep rifts. One of the children begins to see things others cannot. Is it mental illness or something else? The series is a tragicomic meditation on the complicated forces at work on us all in America today.
