We've seen a lot of various versions of the Caped Crusader, but this one might be the coolest one we've seen yet.

Check out the new official trailer for "Batman Ninja," an upcoming anime feature that reimagines the Dark Knight as an ancient Japanese samurai-like warrior.

Set in feudal Japan, the animated movie is based on character designs (which includes a new Japan-ized Joker) done by renowned manga artist and graphic designer Takashi Okazaki, who is perhaps best known as the creator of "Afro Samurai."

Directed by technical video game director Junpei Mizusaki and written by manga writer Kazuki Nakashima (Kill La Kill), "Batman Ninja" is produced by Warner Bros. Japan and will arrive on Blu-ray and DVD sometime in 2018.
