"Jurassic World" actor Nick Robinson plays a closeted gay teen struggling to come out to his family and friends in the first trailer for the coming-of-age, coming-out dramedy "Love, Simon."

Also starring Katherine Langford (13 Reasons Why), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Apocalypse), Keiynan Lonsdale (CW's The Flash), Jorge Lendeborg (Brigsby Bear), Logan Miller (Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse) with Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel as Robinson's parents, the John Hughes-esque film is based on the award-winning YA novel "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda" by Becky Albertalli.

Robinson stars as Simon Spier, a seventeen-year-old high school student who, after secretly falling in love with an anonymous, closeted gay pen-pal, is forced to publicly address his own sexual identity when his private coming-out email mistakenly falls into the wrong hands.

From the studio and producers of "The Fault in Our Stars," "Love, Simon" is directed by television producer and screenwriter Greg Berlanti (creator of the drama series "Everwood" and co-creator of The CW's "Arrowverse" superhero shows).

The movie is hitting theaters on March 16, 2018.

synopsis:
Everyone deserves a great love story. But for seventeen-year old Simon Spier it's a little more complicated: he’s yet to tell his family or friends he’s gay and he doesn’t actually know the identity of the anonymous classmate he’s fallen for online. Resolving both issues proves hilarious, terrifying and life-changing.

Based on Becky Albertalli's acclaimed novel, LOVE, SIMON is a funny and heartfelt coming-of-age story about the thrilling ride of finding yourself and falling in love.
