Star Wars: The Last Jedi — Featurette: 'Evolution of the Crystal Fox'

If the director of a "Star Wars" movie ever envisioned an Arctic-like fox covered with fur made of crystals -- well, then, these are the amazing artists who can bring that vision to life. Check out a brief behind-the-scenes featurette for "The Last Jedi," which shows the "Evolution of the Crystal Fox."

Inhabiting the freezing terrain of a Hoth-like planet called "Crait" are these glowy-eyed crystal foxes called Vulptices -- and they will have their world rocked when the First Order initiates an AT-AT walker attack on a rebel base, which happens to be the temporary hideout of General Leia Organa, played by the late, great Carrie Fisher in Rian Johnson's installment of the "Star Wars" Saga.

"The Last Jedi" also stars Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver, and is set to open wide in theaters everywhere starting on December 15th.

Having taken her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Rey continues her epic journey with Finn, Poe and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the saga.
