A new trailer has been released for "Peter Rabbit," the upcoming family comedy that offers a modern-day twist on the classic children's stories by Beatrix Potter.

Combining elements of CGI and live-action, the film follows the adventures of an anthropomorphic rabbit named Peter (voiced by late-night TV host James Corden), who dons a blue jacket and exudes a mischievous sense of humor. Much of the action revolves around the bitter rivalry between Peter and his vermin-hating next-door neighbor, Mr. McGregor (played by Domhnall Gleeson, of "Ex Machina" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" fame).

Rose Byrne (Neighbors, Bridesmaids) co-stars as Peter's benevolent human owner, while Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, and Daisy Ridley are among those lending their voices.

Directed by Will Gluck (Easy A, Friends with Benefits, and the recent Annie remake), "Peter Rabbit" is coming to theaters February 9, 2018.

synopsis:
Peter Rabbit, the mischievous and adventurous hero who has captivated generations of readers, now takes on the starring role of his own irreverent, contemporary comedy with attitude. In the film, Peter's feud with Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson) escalates to greater heights than ever before as they rival for the affections of the warm-hearted animal lover who lives next door (Rose Byrne).
