Syfy has released the official trailer for Season 3 of the hit fantasy series "The Magicians."
Based on Lev Grossman's best-selling book series, season three continues to explore the trials and tribulations of lifelong fantasy book fanatic-turned-sorcerer Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his fellow magician pals, Eliot (Hale Appleman), Alice (Olivia Taylor Dudley), Julia (Stella Maeve), Margo (Summer Bishil) and Penny (Arjun Gupta). This season will follow Quentin and his friends as they try to restore magic in the world.
Developed into a series by Sera Gamble (Supernatural) and John McNamara (Aquarius), "The Magicians" co-stars Rick Worthy, Faran Tahir, Jade Tailor, Nikolai Witschl, Tom Amandes, and Madeleine Arthur.
The 13-episode Syfy drama is set to return on Wednesday, January 10th.

Based upon Lev Grossman's best-selling books, The Magicians centers around Brakebills University, a secret institution specializing in magic. There, amidst an unorthodox education of spellcasting, a group of twenty-something friends soon discover that a magical fantasy world they read about as children is all too real-- and poses grave danger to humanity.
