While looking inside her awakened self, Rey (Daisy Ridley) sees "light" ... aaaand she also sees "darkness." And according to the new footage featured in this extended TV spot for the highly-anticipated "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," Rey also promises not to fail Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) like how Kylo (Adam Driver) failed him years ago.
With the release date rapidly approaching, the film's promotional machine is slowly rolling out clues regarding Rey's continuous journey in the new "Star Wars" movie, which has been decidedly ambiguous on whether her path is leading toward the light or the dark.
But one thing is for certain: filmmaker Rian Johnson has recently confirmed that "The Last Jedi" will have a running time of 2 hours and 30 minutes, making it the longest film in the "Star Wars" franchise. So, Rey's journey might be a long and winding one.
Also starring John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, Laura Dern, and the late, Carrie Fisher, "The Last Jedi" arrives in theaters December 15th.
