They say nothing is scarier than the dark. Well, silence is pretty damn scary too! As evident in this new creepy teaser trailer for the forthcoming supernatural horror thriller "A Quiet Place."

Emily Blunt stars alongside her real-life husband John Krasinski (who also directs the film) as a married couple hiding from a strange supernatural presence.

Seemingly scrounging around a remote forest, living in a small farm with their two young children, Blunt and Krasinski are forced to only communicate in sign language as even the slightest sound can give away their positions. The question is, what (or who) are they hiding from -- a monster, the devil, space aliens? The mystery is yet to be explained, at least for now.

Co-starring as Blunt and Krasinski's onscreen children are kid actor Noah Jupe, from "Wonder" and "Suburbicon," and real-life deaf actress Millicent Simmonds, who is also the breakout star of Todd Haynes' new film "Wonderstruck".

"A Quiet Place" is hitting theaters April 2018.
