An inebriated Christopher Meloni gets into the Christmas spirit in a new 30-second promo for the forthcoming SYFY series "Happy!" which is the only television show out this holiday season that features tough cops, imaginary friends, mafia bosses, serial killers, a scary Santa, and Jerry 'Freakin' Springer.
Based on the best-selling four-issue graphic novel by comic book writer Grant Morrison and illustrator Darick Robertson, the darkly comic crime noir casts Meloni as Nick Sax, a disgraced ex-New York cop-turned-hitman who, after experiencing an alcohol-induced stupor, wakes up bloodied and confused in the hospital. After realizing he just survived a near-death experience, Nick starts to see an imaginary talking and flying blue unicorn (voiced by comedian Patton Oswalt) who eventually becomes his tiny sidekick.
Co-starring Lili Mirojnick, Patrick Fischler, and Joseph D. Reitman with a special appearance by Jerry Springer, "Happy!" hails from filmmaker Brian Taylor, who co-directed the "Crank" films. The series will debut Wednesday, December 6th on the SYFY network.
