Check out the U.S. trailer for "The White King," a dystopian thriller based on the international best-selling novel by Hungarian author Gyorgy Dragoman.

Marking the feature film debut of writing-directing couple Alex Helfrecht and Jorg Tittel, "The White King" stars Jonathan Pryce (Game of Thrones), Agyness Deyn (Sunset Song), Ross Partridge (Stranger Things), Fiona Shaw (Harry Potter), and newcomer Lorenzo Allchurch as a 12-year-old boy struggling to understand the totalitarian nature of his Orwellian society after his father and mother is falsely imprisoned and shunned by the political establishment.

The movie, which premiered at the 2016 Edinburgh International Film Festival, has already been released in the U.K. earlier this year. It will now make its U.S. debut next month, arriving on Digital and DVD on December 5th.

THE WHITE KING is a dystopian drama based on the award winning novel: Djata is a care-free 12-year-old growing up in a brutal dictatorship shut off from the outside world. When the government imprisons his father, Peter, and Djata and his mother Hannah are labeled traitors, the boy will not rest until he sees his father again.
