Check out a new trailer for "Mosaic," director Steven Soderbergh's new innovative HBO limited series that allows viewers to choose their own path with the help of an interactive app.
Written by Ed Solomon (Now You See Me, Men in Black), the six-episode drama is a multi-layered murder mystery tale, which is told through various point-of-views and character developments.
Garrett Hedlund, Sharon Stone, Beau Bridges, Devin Ratray, Frederick Weller, Jennifer Ferrin, and Paul Reubens are among the ensemble cast.
Viewers who download the "Mosaic" app will have the option to choose from multiple storylines and comb through extensive supplementary material -- essentially customizing their own "storytelling experience," which may differ considerably from Soderbergh's own version.
"Mosaic" will premiere on HBO in January. Meanwhile, viewers can download the free app today and start building their own storyline.

Presented by PodOp and developed for HBO by Soderbergh and Casey Silver, in conjunction with writer Ed Solomon, the MOSAIC app is an interactive storytelling experience, available as a free download in November, that will be followed by a six-part limited series that will air on HBO in January 2018.
Three years in the making, the MOSAIC app allows viewers to choose what point-of-view from which to follow the story and to, in effect, build their own experience from the material Soderbergh and Solomon created. The choices one makes build upon one another, enabling multiple tellings of the story from different perspectives and, sometimes, with different conclusions. Viewers will be able to see how their own versions of the story on the app ultimately compare to Soderbergh's six-part linear narrative in January.
