Netflix's Trollhunters: Part 2 — Trailer

Guillermo del Toro's animated series "Trollhunters," about a young boy who opens a portal to a mythical, monster-filled world after finding a special magical amulet, is returning in December with its second season ("Part 2"), and Netflix has released the trailer.

Featuring in the lead role as teen-turned-trollhunter Jim Lake, Jr. is the voice of the late, actor Anton Yelchin (Star Trek, Green Room) who, before his untimely death in June 2016, had completed the recording sessions for two seasons, the DreamWorks-produced series also features Emmy-winner Kelsey Grammer as the voice of Jim's troll mentor, Blinky.

Based on the illustrated novel by del Toro and award-winning author Daniel Kraus, "Trollhunters" follows Jim (Yelchin) and his best friend, Toby (Charlie Saxton), as they stumble on a mystical amulet. As a result, Jim is chosen to be the next "Trollhunter," a mythical guardian responsible for the protection of two worlds: human and troll.

"Star Wars" icon Mark Hamill and "Game of Thrones" actors Lena Headey and David Bradley have joined the voice cast of Season 2. While other returning cast members include Ron Perlman, Steven Yeun, Anjelica Huston, Jonathan Hyde, and Amy Landecker.

"Trollhunters: Part 2" is due to premiere Friday, December 15th.
