In the upcoming 1983-set comedy "Permanent," Academy Award-winner Patricia Arquette and The Office's Rainn Wilson play goofy parents to a socially awkward teen girl (played by newcomer Kira McLean) whose school life becomes exceedingly more painful when she chooses to perm her hair for the first time.

Colette Burson, co-creator of Showtime's acclaimed gigolo dramedy series "Hung," writes and directs this coming-of-age romp about a 13-year-old girl who is coming into her own during the age of bad '80s hair.

Co-starring Elainey Bass, "Permanent" is hitting theaters and VOD on December 15th. Watch the trailer, above.
