"Inglourious Basterds" actress Diane Kruger hunts down neo-Nazis in the new U.S. trailer for the German suspense thriller "In the Fade."

Written and directed by German-Turkish filmmaker Fatih Akin (The Edge of Heaven, The Cut), the film appears to be an edge-of-your-seat revenge thriller about an enraged German woman (Kruger) who decides to hunt down the people responsible for the terrorist bombing that killed both her Turkish husband and her 5-year-old son. In this case, the attack was orchestrated by a local German group of xenophobic neo-Nazis who, after dodging the murder trial, are back on the streets.

For her performance, Kruger took home the Best Actress Award at this year's Cannes Film Festival.

"In the Fade" is currently scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on December 27th.

synopsis:
Out of nowhere, Katja's life falls apart when her husband Nuri and little son Rocco are killed in a bomb attack. Her friends and family try to give her the support she needs, and Katja somehow manages to make it through the funeral. But the mind numbing search for the perpetrators and reasons behind the senseless killing complicate Katja’s painful mourning, opening wounds and doubts. Danilo, a lawyer and Nuri's best friend, represents Katja in the eventual trial against the two suspects: a young couple from the neo-Nazi scene. The trial pushes Katja to the edge, but there's simply no alternative for her: she wants justice.
