Alex Pettyfer gives off a strong creepy vibe as he plays a mysterious traveler in the trailer for "The Strange Ones."

The "Magic Mike" actor stars alongside James Freedson-Jackson, the young actor from 2015's Kevin Bacon-starring thriller "Cop Car." They play brothers traveling across the country in this hypnotic mystery thriller, which appears to be set in the aftermath of a terrible crime.

Are the brothers running from the law? That's a likely possibility, but the better question may be, is Alex Pettyfer's character a figment of the boy's warped imagination?

For his "breakthrough" performance as the young confused runaway, Freedson-Jackson was given a Special Jury Award in March at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival. Since then, the movie has been well received on the festival circuit, marking a strong feature film debut for directors Lauren Wolkstein and Christopher Radcliff.

"The Strange Ones" will be released exclusively on DirecTV on December 7th before arriving in select theaters on January 5th.
