Amazon's Jean-Claude Van Johnson — Official Trailer

added: Thu, Oct 19th '17

What if Jean-Claude Van Damme was actually the world's most dangerous undercover operative?

That's the basic gist of Amazon's new action comedy series "Jean-Claude Van Johnson," which stars Van Damme as a fictionalized version of himself: an aging action star who used to be "super famous" but has now decided to come out of retirement -- but not as JCVD, the film star, but rather as "Johnson," the once most-feared super agent in the world.

Amazon has released the official trailer for the upcoming series, which is created and written by "The Expendables" writer Dave Callaham and directed and executive produced by comedy helmer Peter Atencio, of "Key & Peele" and "Keanu" fame.

The action farce is also executive produced by Ridley Scott and co-stars Kat Foster (Weeds) as Van Damme's former undercover partner, Phylicia Rashad (Creed) as Van Damme's agent, and Moises Arias (The Kings of Summer) as Van Damme's new weapons guy.

The pilot episode of "Jean-Claude Van Johnson" is currently unavailable to stream, while the rest of the season 1 will premiere December 15th exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Jean-Claude Van Johnson stars global martial arts & film sensation Jean-Claude Van Damme playing "Jean-Claude Van Damme", a global martial arts & film sensation, also operating under the simple alias of "Johnson" as the world's best undercover private contractor. Retired for years, a chance encounter with a lost love brings him back to the game. This time, he'll be deadlier than ever. Probably.
