Netflix's She's Gotta Have It — Official Trailer

Netflix has released the official trailer for "She's Gotta Have It," the new original series from filmmaker Spike Lee, based on his 1986 feature film debut about a Brooklyn-based artist dating three vastly different men at once.

Lee directs the entire ten-episode series, which stars DeWanda Wise (TV's Shots Fired) as Nola Darling, a twenty-something Brooklynite who shifts away from traditional dating norms when she finds herself juggling three boyfriends at the same time.

Anthony Ramos (from the musical "Hamilton") plays Mars, Nola's Knicks-obsessed goofball boyfriend (a character that was originally performed by Spike Lee, who was famously featured in the 1990s Nike commercials with Michael Jordan). Cleo Anthony (from TV's "Extant" and "Transparent") plays Greer, Nola's self-obsessed model lover. While Lyriq Bent (from TV's "Rookie Blue") takes on the role of Jamie, Nola's more mature, attentive beau.

"She's Gotta Have It" is scheduled to premiere on Thanksgiving, November 23rd on Netflix.

The 10-episode series is a contemporary update of Spike Lee's revolutionary debut independent film. She's Gotta Have It centers on Nola Darling, a Brooklyn-based artist in her late twenties struggling to define herself and divide her time amongst her Friends, her Job and her Three Lovers: The Cultured Model, Greer Childs, The Protective Investment Banker, Jamie Overstreet and Da Original B-Boy Sneakerhead, Mars Blackmon.
