Rap star Azealia Banks plays an inspiring hip-hop artist and college student who finds herself drawn into the world of slam poetry in the trailer for "Love Beats Rhymes," the new feature film directed by Wu-Tang Clan rapper, RZA.

Written by Nicole Jefferson Asher, the film is RZA's first dramatic effort as a director, following his 2012 directorial debut, the kung-fu fantasy thriller "The Man with the Iron Fists."

In addition to Banks, the cast also includes Hana Mae Lee, Lucien Laviscount, Lorraine Toussaint, rapper/actor Common with singer/actress Jill Scott as a poetry professor.

"Love Beats Rhymes" is scheduled to hit select theaters and on VOD December 1st.

When struggling rapper Coco (Azealia Banks) enrolls in a poetry class, she thinks her rhymes will impress her teacher, Professor Dixon (Jill Scott). Instead, Dixon challenges Coco to seek real meaning in her lyrics, setting her on a journey of discovery that takes her through rap clubs and poetry slams, leading her to find her true voice -- and true love -- in this uplifting movie costarring Lucien Laviscount and Common.
