Woody Allen's new 1950s Coney Island-set drama "Wonder Wheel," starring Kate Winslet, Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, and Jim Belushi, has received its first trailer.

Marking the first feature film that Amazon Studios will solely distribute themselves (Amazon had previously released films theatrically with the support of distribution partners such as Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate, but is now pushing to go solo), "Wonder Wheel" is a period drama that follows the lives of four Coney Island characters: a frustrated wife working as a waitress (Winslet); her hot-tempered carousel operator husband (Belushi); his estranged daughter (Temple) who's running from the mob, and a lifeguard (Timberlake) who wants to write plays for a living.

Selected as the film to close the 2017 New York Film Festival, which runs through October 14th, "Wonder Wheel" will be released in select theaters on December 1st, expanding to additional cities throughout December and January.

WONDER WHEEL tells the story of four characters whose lives intertwine amid the hustle and bustle of the Coney Island amusement park in the 1950s: Ginny (Kate Winslet), a melancholy, emotionally volatile former actress now working as a waitress in a clam house; Humpty (Jim Belushi), Ginny’s rough-hewn carousel operator husband; Mickey (Justin Timberlake), a handsome young lifeguard who dreams of becoming a playwright; and Carolina (Juno Temple), Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who is now hiding out from gangsters at her father’s apartment.
