Maggie Q (Designated Survivor, Nikita) is a doctor trying to help a family with their disturbing sleep issues in the trailer for the supernatural horror thriller "Slumber."

After analyzing a case of a young boy suffering from severe night terrors, a sleep specialist (played by Maggie Q) discovers the boy's parents are also suffering from the same terror-filled dreams. Upon further inspection, the doctor starts to suspect the cause is related to the supernatural. The family might have been infected by a mythical parasitic demon, known through the centuries as the "Night Hag."

Inspired by the folk legend, "Slumber" is directed by award-winning commercial director Jonathan Hopkins, and co-stars Kristen Bush, Sam Troughton, Sylvester McCoy, Will Kemp, and William Hope.

Co-written by Hopkins and Richard Hobley, the film will be released in theaters and on VOD December 1st.

synopsis:
Alice is a rational-minded sleep doctor, haunted by the mysterious nocturnal death of her younger brother. While performing a routine examination on a traumatized family with sleeping problems, Alice is attacked by the father in his sleep. The father is arrested and blamed for causing the family's sleep issues, but when he is thrown into jail and the problems get progressively worse, Alice is forced to abandon scientific rationale and accept that the family is being terrorized by a parasitic demon who feeds on the weak while they sleep: the Night Hag. In order to defeat the dark spirit who was also responsible for her brother's death, Alice must journey into her own nightmares and confront her childhood demons.
