John Travolta exhibits a steely demeanor as he transforms himself into "The Teflon Don" in the first trailer for the mob drama "Gotti."

Portraying notorious New York mobster John Gotti in a biographical portrait that spans several decades, Travolta gets to share the screen with his real-life wife, actress Kelly Preston who plays Gotti's long-suffering wife, Victoria.

The film chronicles Gotti's criminal career from his early years as a deadly mob enforcer to becoming the boss of the Gambino crime family. The drama will also center on Gotti's relationship with his son, John Gotti Jr. (played by up-and-comer Spencer Lofranco; from "Unbroken" and "Jamesy Boy"), who, against his mother's wishes, becomes a loyal foot soldier in his father's mafia crew.

"Entourage" actor Kevin Connolly, who has helmed several television episodes and a couple of indie films before, directs "Gotti," which co-stars Stacy Keach, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Leo Rossi, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Lem Dobbs (The Limey, Haywire).

"Gotti" will be hitting theaters and VOD on December 15th.
