Oscar-winning filmmaker Steven Spielberg reveals his unique directing process in the newly-released trailer for the upcoming HBO documentary "Spielberg."

"Every time I start a new scene, I'm nervous," says the 70-year-old master director. "And when that verges on panic, I get -- I get great ideas."

That's just one of the many insights that Spielberg shares in the new feature-length profile from Emmy-winning documentarian Susan Lacy, who not only conducted almost 30 hours of interviews with the famed director but also got a number of Spielberg's A-list friends and former collaborators to open up in front of a camera.

"You think of that young kid, one day, sneaking his way into a studio and manifesting his own destiny. It's a pretty fantastic Hollywood story," remarks Leonardo DiCaprio, who is featured among those who were interviewed, which is a list that includes Martin Scorsese, Liam Neeson, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, George Lucas, Christian Bale, Drew Barrymore, Cate Blanchett, Francis Ford Coppola and much more.

The documentary, which is chronicling Spielberg's career from a self-described "movie brat" to a master storyteller, will also feature behind-the-scenes footage and rarely-seen home videos taken by Spielberg himself.

"Spielberg" is set to debut on HBO beginning Saturday, October 7th.
